Tattoos F.A.Q's......

Q. How much will it cost?
A. Prices start at £20 and go up into the £1000`s. It is always best that you bring a design in for an exact quote, as it is hard to judge the cost via email and post, we can however give you an estimate this way. Larger pieces will be charged at an hourly rate of £60. Hours are divided up into 15-minute segments to make this easier.

Q. What can I have?
A. These days there are almost most no limits as to what you can have tattooed. We keep an extensive range of designs in stock and are happy to look for something for you. The Internet is a great tool for looking for a design so it might be worth getting online, we can always do that here. We can work from photographs, magazines, books, rough sketches or verbal requests; we will always come up with something. If you are unsure as to what to have for your new tattoo we can give you a few suggestions and pointers to help you on your way. We have to take a deposit for any drawings requested due to the large volume of work we have to do and to eliminate timewasters!

Q. How old do I have to be to have a tattoo?
A. The legal age of consent for tattooing is 18

Q. Will it hurt?
A. Yes, it will! Don’t panic though, it really isn’t that bad! It’s a very hard feeling to describe, kind of like a scratch. It is quite bearable, some people can sit for hours and hours on end, so it cant be that bad, besides if it didn’t hurt you wouldn’t appreciate it as much!

Q. Do I have to prepare myself before my sitting?
A. Its always advisable that you have a bath or shower before your appointment to ensure your skin is nice and clean, I know we clean the skin anyway but it really cant hurt, plus its always nicer to work on a fresh smelling client rather than a stinky one! Think of us! We don’t do mingers!

Q. When can I get my tattoo?
A. You will need to make a booking to avoid disappointment. We require a minimum 20% deposit on all bookings. Again this is due to the vast amount of timewasters out there! Please be patient, although you may need to book a few weeks in advance, your tattoo will be there a lot longer than the wait. It really is worth waiting for!

Q. How long will it take to heal?
A. Providing you follow the instructions given to you by your artist, your tattoo should take between 3 days and 2 weeks to heal. Everybody heals at different rates so try not to compare yourself to a friend. The aftercare product we recommend significantly brings the healing times down, so it would definitely be worth investing in some.
